I got many compliments on my outfit. My friend Elizabeth heard in Paris that I looked "smashing" in my dress. The day after, when I was with a friend from a local bookstore, I told two guys from a great queer press that she had been sorry to miss my outfit. They both jumped up and down and clapped their hands, and one of them, exclaimed, "It was maribou magic!" She turned to me and said, "What do we have to do to get you to wear it back home?" So I agreed to be in a cabaret wearing the dress. What I'm going to read to match it is to be determined -- the outfit was the promise! I'll tell 'em where I got it!

You make great clothes, Bertha. I'd love to have more -- one of those deconstructed skirts! And all! I'll save up! I also reported in about all this to fatshionista on livejournal, with a link to Size Queen, and whenever I start praising your clothes there, others ALWAYS join in."
